What is Airsoft?
Airsoft is essentially a sporting activity using replica firearms in which the ammunition is simulated using gas, electric or spring loaded mechanisms. Different forms of the sport are widely participated in overseas fields such as such as Russia, UK and Scotland. The gaming side of Airsoft is Military Simulation in which you eliminate your opponents with direct hits. The ammunition used are small spherical plastic or non-metallic pellets.

Unfortunately it’s not a legal sport in Australia as yet, but this is why you're at the site - to see where it stands!.

Ok, so if this is your first time at the site read on. If you are a regular visitor and have been following other forums/sites this is in your interests too.

The 2 main reasons why Airsoft has not been legislated in Australia are;

a) The firearms resemble replica weapons;

b) There is currently no range available that has been granted genuine reason for use of Airsoft firearms.

There are 2 variants of the sport;

• Airsoft (Military Simulation or “Milsim”)
• Airsoft IPSC (Practical Shooting) See Airsoft Media for footage of practical shooting

Both forms of the sport are yet to pass legislation, but after discussions with executives in the firearms industry, Milsim type Airsoft has a slim and much tougher chance of passing legislation. More to be explained in our first newsletter so please subscribe (Email form on the right)
