We have implemented many custom features to the forum software to not only make your life easier, but to make it easy to share information posted here among other sharing platforms.
Notifications: - Normally there are minimal notifications when you receive personal messages, when other members reply to your topic etc. We have now implemented a system similar to Facebook so you never miss out on a notification.
Chat: - If you look below the page you will see a toolbar at the bottom. When members are signed in to the forum you can easily chat to them just by clicking their name. The chat log will usually roll over every 24 hours, so if you have something important to say it's advised to instead use the personal message system.
Social network integration:- So far we have managed to integrate Facebook across the site. This means you can log in via Facebook and post in topics (this may be useful if you haven't got a forum account). You will see the Facebook reply option near the bottom of the topic.
We have also implemented a
Google +1 button for topics, which basically translates to "This is cool" or "I dig this link". We also will soon be creating a google + account so keep a lookout for that.
