hello Guys,
this is a good idea to have a post to introduce ourself. So, let's add 10 lines to this post:
my name is fabien, i am 36, french and work in UK. i have 2 boys a home (the old one is 8 and waiting his 12th birthday to come to paintball with me).
I like science fiction and was into table top role playing games and CCG when i was younger and in france. I had my mid life crisis 4 years ago, starting with paintball scenario in uk, then moving to airsoft in order to be able to play during the week and finished by a HSV club sport (sold as vauxhall VXR8 in UK).
about airsoft, i started 2 y ago with a collection of M9 pistol from TM and WE that i have now sold. I am not keen on AEG, so i know own 4 TM hicapa and one tm xtreme. Most of them are tuned and achieve AEG range and accuracy without any trouble. i have not try ipsc yet but i will one day. here is a picture of the collection a month ago.

Since that, i got a new frame freedom art for a 4.3/xtreme, i have broken the red slide, i am trying to sale the tm hi-capa custom match. as it say on some other forum, airsoft is addictive... this is why i did advise on this forum to contact airsoft supplier to help you lobbying with the officials. WE, TM, KSC, ... are close to australia and should be willing to open a new market for them.

now, why the hell am i interested in airsoft australia. Well, i have passed 4 interview, 2 to go, for a job in adelaide... if things go well, i may be there by july/august. So i do hope that goes well and that you get airsoft legalised by the same time :)

did anybody have the text that you want to pass to the vote?
it would be great to have the point of view of lots of people in other country to get all the points cover before it is beeing presented:
-carrying and storage case with key lock
-18y
-require registration in a site for 2 months with at  least 3 games participation for the site to register you
-short list of site/shop being allow to purchase airsoft
-no full auto
-350fps max for semi auto, 400 for one shoot type
-high penalty for abusif use (use outsite shooting range and airsoft site)
These are the obvious, but if you can get a foreign lawer playing airsoft to help you with the wording it would be better.

please no red tips, it is ugly.

Frequently Asked Questions / Re: Why is Airsoft illegal in Australia?
« on: March 06, 2012, 04:10:25 AM »
what sort of difficulties would someone encounter opening an airsoft range, thereby providing a legit reason for owning for either milsim, sport shooting or airsoft based games?
there is an indoor CQB paintball site on adelaide harbor... airsoft pistol would be so much better there than paintball.
anybody try to contact them to get there point of view to generate more business?

Airsoft Overseas / from uk to australia

hello guys,
i may be moving from uk to adelaide... it is a may be. But if i come, i would love to play my favorite hobby: airsoft in CQB. I am playing there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ydf8gk7MjU
every 2 weeks at night. so imagine the same video in the dark  ;D

I am not crazy about copying existing team, i play in UK DDPM or french DPM function of the weather and the time of the day. Also, i only own TM hi-capa GBB pistols.
Looking at the rule in adelaide, i may have a way to the country by changing the inner barrel as TM does on their R type. And another way out is the 2 tones by using crylon on some plastic slides. What do you think?
but to be honest, i would love that australia get the airsoft legal. let me know if i can help by placing you in contact with the french or uk airsoft community.

i do not leave in Australia, at least not yet, but why are you not working with Tokyo Marui?
they have a full range of Tm hicapa 5.1 R... they are low fps and for under 18 in japan.
