Anyway, I have a shotgun and rifle license and i was wondering if they're is anyway to acquire airsoft guns if i asked a local gun shop owner near me to import me some legally, If so can i order any type of airsoft gun what are the restrictions to what i can order and sites i could get them from that ship to Aus?

Unfortunately there is no legal reason to have them in Australia. You can have all the licenses under the sun, but it won't matter. I've been searching for a reason for AGES, any help would be awesome!

So let me get this right... I have an extensive collection of Airsoft kit and I am on my way to a new job/life in Adelaide. Can I bring my airsoft kit with me? I gather from other threads, that owning these sorts of 'toys' is a no-no?? Much of the kit I have is rare and of 'collectable' value - I dont want to get rid of it... Can I get a permit/permission to include Airsoft kit in my household items/container? Rev.

Hey lad's, the SA gun law's have been changed recently (i'm looking for a reference to quote) ... having a chat with the guy @ the brickworks, it's now legal to have an airsoft / bb gun as long as it's slower than 170ft / second and you have a certificate (which the guy can provide you with) ...

they've had the first batch in, but returned them to Thailand as they were well below the 170ft / second speed ... should have new stock by the end of the month ... to sell over the counter!
